Why we're called tershouse.
“Ters je osoba koja misli da je uvijek u pravu — samo to drugi ne vide.”
Take that and add one twist: respect. Being ters at tershouse means having strong opinions, holding your ground, and treating everyone else's opinions exactly the same way. That's the founding rule.
The space itself started in Berlin. Our founder spent months working out of coworking houses there in 2018–2019 and came back to Sarajevo unable to find anything close. So in October 2019 — a few months before the world stopped — tershouse opened.
Today it's the largest coworking space in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Freelancers, startups, agencies, NGOs, corporations. People who don't care which industry the person at the next desk is in. Who help each other anyway. Who have opinions and respect other people's opinions in the same breath. That mix is the point.
Why we exist.

tershouse is an independent coworking company headquartered in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company was founded in October 2019, moved into Kolodvorska 12 — a restored 1890 railway workshop — in 2022, and is opening a second location at Roof Gardens Sarajevo in August 2026.
It hosts more than 600 active members, runs 50+ public events per year, and serves freelancers, startups, agencies, NGOs, and corporations. It develops tersOS in-house — the platform that handles bookings, access, billing, events, and member services across both houses. tershouse is privately held, profitable, and self-funded.
