There are many types of coworking spaces. Some are focused on bringing together the corporate community, others focus on specific industries, and some are dedicated to sustainable lifestyles, offering workshops and activities that support such a way of life.
tershouse is simply focused on creating a diverse community and connecting its members. Our coworkers include corporate firms, digital nomads, local marketing agencies, introverts who got tired of working from home and eventually become ambiverts, and others.
To maintain the "glue" that connects such diverse types of clients, we regularly hold community activities and events.
The internal events at tershouse are designed to bring together diverse community members and place them in one space, people who would probably never meet in private lives. In the next blog article, you’ll find out about the events and activities tershouse offers (some are exclusively for current community members, while others are open to the public — i.e., potential new members).
-
terstalks – this event has three subcategories: social, marketing, and tech. It brings together enthusiasts in these categories by offering speakers who are experts in their fields. These speakers talk about the most current topics in their area through various formats, such as presentations or interactive lectures. At the end of the event, we always leave room for questions and answers, as well as an informal social gathering with snacks and drinks.

Oatmeal Party – this is an exclusively internal community activity. The community managers, Nevena and Ivona, prepare cooked oatmeal and serve various toppings (to please both the sweet tooths and the fitness-conscious members). Then, we socialize over warm oatmeal and even warmer community stories :P These stories often include a trip down memory lane, recalling the hardcore meat-eaters who, before oatmeal, would only have burek and hamburgers for breakfast. They called oatmeal "NOTmeal" and slowly transitioned to lighter breakfasts (those who initially say, "don’t put any for me, I won’t eat it," end up refilling three times, and we especially love them <3) 😀

Brunch – And once again, what better way to gather the community than over food? tershouse brunch is an opportunity to introduce new members to the rest of the community. The format is relaxed; sometimes it’s in the form of a conversation between the person and the community manager, or as a Q&A session with other members. It’s needless to mention the donuts that make this event truly special at the end.
-
Potluck – Another tershouse activity that brings the community together through food. Everyone prepares their favorite dish and shares it with the community, followed by a recipe exchange (or not, and that’s okay) and socializing. Potluck is often themed, and we’ve had flavors from Asia, Italy, seasonal dishes, fall comfort food combinations, etc. If someone doesn’t have time to cook, they can bring something store-bought, which is also welcomed, afterall food is food and we never say no to it :)
-
Quiz – Finally, an event not focused on food (though it doesn’t mean there isn’t any :P). A few times a year, we organize quizzes, which are often themed. Quizzes always turn out to be a great way to meet new people, test one’s memory, and unwind after a hard day’s work. Sharing food is one thing, but sharing knowledge is another; that’s where the tershouse spirit really shines!

Ters Holiday Market – Every year in December, tershouse gathers valuable local exhibitors who turn our market into a true winter wonderland; from jewelry, sweets, pet products, natural cosmetics, to handmade brooches and decorations. The festive atmosphere is further enhanced by the presence of pets, who are very welcome guests at our holiday market.
7.Secret Santa – Another exciting winter activity! December is the time for little gifts and joy, and our favorite way to mark this period is with a Secret Santa gathering. The rules are simple: every coworker is randomly assigned another coworker to whom they buy a gift based on their wishlist, and then we open the gifts together, accompanied by socializing and fun greeting cards.
